sinnesspiel | Test Round 3

This is another test round of The Mole.

Players are gangsters, and amongst them they have found out there is a mole. They do not know who the mole is, and their job is to find out. In each round, characters will get to make two statements, which are replies to the official start post, in an order designated by the GM in said official start post. Aside from those two statements, characters get up to ten comments to use wherever they like in response to those statements or others' replies to those statements.

After the last character has made the last statement of the round, voting will open. Characters make an open vote on who they believe is the mole, and if anyone receives more than %50 of the votes, they are killed. The goal is, for most, to kill The Mole.

There may or may not be a PoS at the GM's discretion: the PoS is a gangster who has a plea bargain with the police. The PoS's goal is to keep the Mole from being discovered: if the mole wins, the PoS gets half the number of points the Mole does. If the PoS is voted to be killed, they will be saved by their plea bargain and will be out of the game, but still 'alive' to claim those points, if and only if the Mole side wins. However, if the gangster side wins, they get points as if they are a regular gangster. In other words, the PoS must calculate how many points they would get from who they support. There may not necessarily always be a PoS role.

Each round after the voting, if alive, the Mole will be able to PM the GM as to who they would like to arrest. If they arrest the Godfather, they win, and get a number of points equal to the number of players in the game.

Also between rounds, the Godfather will be allowed to use his connections to other groups to do some background digging. He may choose one character per round to check on and will be privately told whether or not the player is the Mole.

Gangsters (including the Godfather, but not including The Mole) alive or dead at the end get points based on the total number of living gangsters, and those alive get an extra point for being alive. However, if the Godfather is killed or arrested, only The Mole gets points.

The order for initial statements is: V/V, Leprechaun, Near, Mikami, Cougar, V/V, Leprechaun, Near, Mikami, Cougar.

Each character gets ten total replies beyond their two initial statements. 'Replies' may also be used in the voting phase. Chatter from the sign-in phase does not count towards the ten reply total.

The best action for The Mole to take would be none at all.

Tsk...you know...aside from Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy does anyone know why a mole is called a mole in the first place? It's not the most attractive animal...even worse than that it's not even the fastest. One hearty hit from the business end of a shovel and it's pushing up daisies...plus they create havock in the garden. Ever seen a garden after a mole has rampaged through it? A war zone. Hn...maybe that's why, but you know...moles are more subtle than that. I say we put the renaming of the double-crosser to a vote...

...I also vote for dogs as well...we need dogs.

The Leprechaun received the most votes, but less than %50 of the total votes and thus is not killed by the mob! Unfortunately, he was arrested by The Mole. The Godfather has also conducted an investigation.

For the next round, the posting order is Mikami, V/V, Cougar, Near, Mikami, V/V, Cougar, Near.

What is the Mole thinking? Arresting the most suspicious one, who was most likely to take the votes off of them in coming rounds...

This is a friendly Game Master note that some of our players must turn in for the night. The game will continue in standard RP "whenever each character can tag" format. It shouldn't be too much of an issue given there's a general order and a total post limit.

Hope everyone continues to see Test Round 3 to the end!
