This chapter does give a different color, doesn't it? With this, from this chapter onwards I think the books will effectively lose their horror tone, but in a good and interesting way. Shiki isn't actually a horror work in the first place too, not really. More about a work full of tactics carried out by the characters. (And definitely more about a psychological work.)
