I didn't imagine Tatsumi like he was in the anime at all! I imagine all the other characters like they're drawn, but Tatsumi isn't the blue haired kitsune mimi we all know and love in my head, I imagined him as a generic Asian guy instead? So I feel like he has a different motif in this story. In the anime/manga, he's this macho dude who's on the smart side, but gets around by physical strength and sheer awesomeness. Here, it's like he's average, but he's cunning like a fox and he's all nice on the outside (which is perfect, because nobody in a million years would suspect a happy-go-lucky guy like him of being anything than a happy-go-lucky guy) and on the inside he' s all like "damn these muddafukkas falling for my ruse lmao" like WOW I HAD FORGOTTEN HOW /COOL/ TATSUMI IS OMG OMG OMG *throws panties out of the window*
Also also also what the hell is his first name? I had always assumed he was so old that when he was "alive" alive, everyone just went by one name and he's Tatsumi like JUST Tatsumi. I had actually started thinking about this when they had this exchange: "I'm Tatsumi." / "I'm Muroi" (or something) and it was like, Seishin introduced himself by his last name, so TATSUMI MUST HAVE AS WELL. I! want! to! know! his! real! name!
The 'oh shit' factor is through the roof in this chapter. And Toshio is, as usual, hilarious. Aaand Seishin is, as usual, just kinda 'there'. Eep. step up your game, son.
